Working in partnership with the British Columbia Society of Landscape Architects (BCSLA) with financial support from the Real Estate Foundation of BC (REFBC), the Invasive Species Council of BC (ISCBC) has developed an in-person invasive species workshop and a free interactive invasive species e-learning resource for real estate professionals, professional landscape architects, land developers and other land use disciplines. The aims of these training options are to expand the knowledge and understanding of invasive species and their impacts, so professionals can provide their clients with useful information and educated advice.

Invasive Species e-Learning

Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:

  1. Identify existing or prospective issues with invasive species on properties
  2. Identify some species of concern in BC, learn the impacts and risks associated with them
  3. Assist their clients by informing them of the risks, their land-owner responsibilities and advice towards the next steps on their impacted properties
  4. Identify where to gather further information and resources

Allow approximately 30 minutes to complete the course. Please use speakers or headphones as audio is included and disable pop-ups for the best user experience.
