Overview: ProcellaCOR FX is a new low-rate, systemic aquatic herbicide approved by Health Canada in May 2023.?? Registered in the US since 2018, ProcellaCOR has an excellent environmental profile with no restrictions on fishing, swimming, or drinking following application.?? It can be used at variety of scales for selective control of major invasive plants in BC such as Eurasian watermilfoil, parrotsfeather, and yellow floating heart. ?ProcellaCOR’s selectivity of control can restore habitat by promoting recovery and expansion of desirable native aquatic vegetation.? Along with an overview of its characteristics as an aquatic herbicide including ecotoxicology and behavior in the environmental, representative data from published scientific studies and operational experiences in the US and early results in Canada will be reviewed.
