ISCBC has worked alongside industry professionals, with funding from the Canada Nature Fund for Aquatic Species at Risk, to develop Invasive-Wise Seaplane resources, including this course, in support of the seaplane industry of BC. The intent is to protect biodiversity in BC by supporting seaplane operators with education about best management practices for preventing the introduction and spread of invasive species through seaplane activities.

Invasive-Wise Seaplanes is an interactive eLearning course that is to be used as a training resource for seaplane operators and support staff to increase awareness around invasive species and help them to identify areas of possible risk of introduction or spread of invasive species.

The objectives of the course are to:

- Understand the impacts and risk of aquatic invasive species
- Become familiar with the methods of prevention
- Describe best practices for seaplane operators
