This virtual Pesticide Applicator workshop includes 3 days of live, instructor-led sessions with experienced trainers, self-led eLearning modules, practice scenario activities, and support sessions. This course will introduce you to Integrated Pest Management (IPM), legislation regulating pesticide use, the management of invasive species in BC and how to work safely with pesticides and a variety of application equipment.
NOTE: Completion of this workshop does not certify pesticide applicators - participants must pass the BC Government pesticide certification exam to be certified. Click here for more information about the BC pesticide applicator certification exam.

Certification Exam
Book your exam by contacting ServiceBC. Contact number is 1-866-205-2102 (within BC) or 250-344-3406 (out of province, or in Golden, BC). *Please note there is a $90 examination fee collected by ServiceBC at the time of the exam.
NOTE: To request exam invigilation by ISCBC, please contact info@bcinvasives.ca. Availability to be determined upon request.
By the end of this course you will;
- be prepared to write the 3-hour government exam
- have a foundational understanding of the legal requirements for use of pesticides in BC
- understand how pesticides are only one tool in the toolbox for invasive plant management
- be able to perform the necessary steps and calculations for calibrating application equipment
- understand the importance and correct usage of personal protective equipment
- understand how to minimize risks to the environment and public while using pesticides
NOTE: Our pricing has recently increased to include the cost of both required study manuals + shipping. REFUND POLICY
Full Refunds:
- A full refund will be provided if the cancellation request is received at least 10 business days prior to the course start date.
Partial Refunds:
- A 50% refund will be issued if the cancellation request is made between 5 to 9 business days before the course start date.
- No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 5 business days of the course start date.
Course Transfer:
- Participants may transfer their registration to a future course or transfer their spot to another individual at no additional cost, provided the request is made at least 5 business days before the course start date.
No-Show Policy:
- No refunds or transfers will be granted for participants who fail to attend without prior notice.
Unforeseen Circumstances:
- If a participant cannot attend due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., medical emergencies, family emergencies, or severe weather), they may be entitled to transfer to a future course date or receive a full refund. Documentation may be required to support the claim.
Course Cancellation:
- If the course is cancelled by the organizers, a full refund will be provided to all registered participants, or they can choose to transfer their registration to a future course date.
