Community Science
COURSE
ISCBC has designed a
3-level “Community Science eLearning Course” to
inspire and encourage people across British Columbia to participate
in community science and take action by protecting
biodiversity and reducing the impact of invasive species in their
communities. These dynamic eLearning
training courses are designed to equip you with the tools and knowledge needed
to take action on invasive species in your community, your job or your own
backyard.
The Community Science eLearning Courses
have been designed to incrementally build upon your knowledge base. Choose your
own adventure by taking the training at your own pace and to whatever level you
need. By completing all 3 levels of the Community Science eLearning Course,
you will be awarded a printable certificate that can be added to
your resume or social accounts.
By the end of the Community Science eLearning Course, you will understand:
·
Why you should care and how you can make a difference
·
How to report species through our the Report Invasives App or iNaturalist
·
Impacts of biodiversity & climate change and the value of native
species
